Speaking[]
In roleplaying, of course your character has something to say! There are several ways to make your character "talk".
1. The first and most used way is to type your character's name, then a : or -, then type what they have to say, so it looks like this:
Ravenstar: ThunderClan, attack! or Ravenstar - ThunderClan, attack!
2. The next way is the fancier way. You type like you would if you were, say, writing a book. Be sure to use quotes ("). It should look something like this:
"ThunderClan, attack!" Ravenstar yowled.
Actions[]
Like speaking, there is a simple way and a fancy way to make your character do something.
1. The simple way is to put what your character is "doing" in between these: *, or these: -. It should look like:
Ravenstar: -jumps on fat mouse- or Ravenstar - *jumps on fat mouse*
2. And, you can do it the fancy way as well.
Ravenstar jumped on the fat mouse.

Setting the Tone[]
If you'd like for your fellow roleplayers to tell how your cat is speaking without typing the fancy way (above), you can put what your cat's tone is after their name, but before what they say, in these: (/), so it looks like this:
Ravenstar (growling): ShadowClan scent!
Or, you can put something along the lines of this:
Ravenstar: -growls- ShadowClan scent!
Long Messages[]
If, for example, you are a leader who is preforming a warrior ceremony for an apprentice, then you don't want to have to type the whole ceremony at once. It'll clutter up the page way too much. So, instead, break up your message. You can just post little chunks of it in seperate posts, or you can wait for others to reply before speaking, so it looks like this:
Ravenstar: The time has come for Littlepaw to become a warrior. Step forward, Littlepaw.
Littlepaw: -steps forward-
Ravenstar: Littlepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?
Littlepaw: I do.
Ravenstar: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this moment forth, you shall be known as Littlefoot. StarClan honors your bravery and wisdom, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan.
